I found some 40's SF for YOU!
This is good news if you are a Sydneysider and can visit THE BOOKPLATE at Hornsby!
But first an apology to regular readers. I've been having technical problems caused by the local weather and nearby track construction creating signal interference but I'm catching up on the blogging today hopefully! (After spending half a hour trying to boost the signal pickup)
Anyway THE BOOKPLATE on the OLD Pacific Highway near Hornsby Station had some paperbacks of interest to SF fans. Up on the top shelf of the SF section is an incomplete set of Daw's series ISAAC ASIMOV Presents the Great SF Stories.
I bought only one Volume 6 1944 having a limited budget but there were several others of the 40s years there so if you love classics 1940 SF check out the Bookplate!
They also have plenty of crime fiction and books in other categories and its a good weekend for browsing in second hand book stores!
My "interest" in giving this free PR is supporting a small local shop!
Other news: The annual Abbey's Sale starts June 21
Sydneysiders rejoice! The end of the financial year means book sales and clearances!
