The Laundry is the code name for a branch of British Security that specializes in occult menaces and extra dimensional predators. This is the fourth book in the series about Bob Howard.
This time poor Bob barely recovered from his last misadventure is at risk of promotion again which means more field work dealing with external assets code named Bashful Incendiary and Johnny Prince and an American evangelist with a bible which has extra sections of the occult variety and a plan to wake and free the SLEEPER.
Not a good idea since the Sleeper is an ancient dormant alien who regards humans as food and Case Nightmare Green is drawing ever closer.
More mayhem and magic in a world where Lovecraft's monsters are real and allied with monstrous humans.
