Traditional Grammar

Walking past the language shelves in the library I can see books on (dys) Functional Grammar, Transformational Grammar, and TRADITIONAL grammar, along with grammar and style guides. A well known American book is Strunk and White but did you know about this Australian book?
A Short Guide to TRADITIONAL GRAMMAR
J. R. BERNARD
Mine is an older edition and it's been revised a few times since.
It's a book written by an Australian and its been continually reprinted and reissued in a couple of new revised editions since it first came out in 1975! WHY?
Probably because it is a short sensible simple and well written book the covers the Basic Parts of Words, Speech, and Sentences and its suitable for all levels of English Grammar learners?
Do you need a grammar book? I highly recommend this one! **********
Look ten stars!
