BLACK MAN by Richard Morgan

BLACK MAN

A SF Thriller of the next century by Richard Morgan.

This is Richard Morgan's latest work.

Genetic manipulation created a group of genetic variants or "twists" called the thirteens trained and conditioned sociopathic super soldiers all male. Most of them have been forcibly "retired" to camps called "tracts" or given the "choice" of migrating to Mars.

Carl Marsalis returned to Earth and is used to help round up escapees.

He is literally BLACK. Black skin. Black Ops. Despised. His story is about freedom and tragedy and choice. It does not have a happy ending but there is an interesting resolution suggesting future hope for humans and twists?

Richard Morgan is British and has also written Altered Carbon, Broken Angels, Woken Furies, and Market Forces, all published by Gollancz.
