What would art students and lovers do without books from Taschen?
Some of you may have heard about Wassily Kandinsky and Franz Marc as being members of DER Blaue Reiter group in Germany but this group had other members as well.
The group took their name from this book
The first Blaue Reiter exhibition was 1911 the smae year the Blue Rider Alamanac of woddcuts essays and other material was published.
The group included Wassily Kandinsky and other Russians like Alexei Jawlensky.
Other members were Marianne von Werefkin and Gabriele Munter, August Macke and Franz Marc, also Heinrich Campendonk and Alfred Kubin and others who joined later briefly.
This is a great book for schools libraries and art lovers covering artists' bios, techniques, history, linked movements, and much more!
