At long last the library finally got this in! ( Huge sigh of relief and pleasure ! )
Good Solid SF adventure! The development of the Locarno Drive has created a breakthrough that could lead to a renewed interst in space travel and exploration. "Hutch" becomes involved supporting the inventor and ends up being one of the pilots on a two ship expedition towards the core of the galaxy seeking out the source of the culture that created the Chindi probe and another culture that sent a radio transmission received earlier that century by Hutch's father.
They find the Chindi culture is decadent and the Sigma people have been destroyed by the omega clouds.
The expedition meets the source of the Omega Clouds and a mystery spread thru all of this series featuring Priscilla "Hutch" Hutchinson is solved.
No I'm telling. If like you you havnt got the book yet you'll just have to wait!
