The Council of the Cursed

Peter Tremayne 2008

Autun Gaul 670 Bishops from acorss Western Europe have gathered for a conference.

Most of the Bishops from "Celtic" Europe, Gynwedd (Wales) Ireland and Armorica (Brittany) have gathereed at amonastery in Gaul to discuss amongst other things the adoption of St. Benedict's rules by ALL CATHOLIC monasteries.

Fidelma and Eadwulf have been invited to render legal support and arrive to find one bishop has been murdered two accused of the murder and naturally there's more murder and mayhem and some nasty Frankish political agendas gong on.

All this fiction is based on sound historical research and yes certain Female Frankish aristocrats were just as nasty or worse than a certain Count's mother in this book.

If you enjoy a good well researched historical murder mystery become a follower of Fidelma and Eadwulf and visit ancient Ireland soon!
