Temeraire and Laurence are no sooner back in England when they're in more trouble.
A viral plague is spreading thru Englands Draconic population and and while the arrival of Arkady and the ferals comes boosts the coastal defences on Napoleon and Lien will find out the defences are weakened!
Temeraire however is immune and the cause seems to be something he ate in Souh Africa on thier way to China and soon they've off to Cape Town but not until Temeraire holds a soiree in a pavilion and meets William Wilberforce and Nelson and Emily gets a dress!
Taken captive while collecting the fungi that are a cure Laurence and his human crew end up in Centrla Africa. Will Temeraire and the other English dragons be able to past the Tswana and their dragons to rescue them?
The novel ends with Laurence and Temeraire still captive but not by the Tswana.
Oh and poor Temeraire has to watch Iskierka showing off her pavilion as some one made the mistake of trying to explain to her about capital and naval prizes and how to raise money!
Dragons Napoleon Aerial and naval battles and many other delights await you in the Temeraire series. AAARGH the next book Victory of Eagles isnt out yet!
I definitely recommend you catch up on this series while you wait for it to come out!
