Libraries can be dangerous places as Falco discovers when he takes Helena and family on a trip to Alexandria taking advantage of an invite form Uncle Fulvius ( the one the rest of the family doesnt tell about) and his "partner" Cassius to tell at their residence.

However Falco's reputation precedes him and the local officials think he's doing a special audit for Vespasian. He soon discovers why starting with a locked room mystery and preceding to book theft feuding admin megalomanical scholars and an near deadly encounter with Sobek the crocodile. Adding to his problems his father shows up uninvited.
