UKIYO-E
The Art of the
Japanese Print
Frederick Harris
Tuttle 2010
There are many books on Ukiyo-e prints but this is very splendid and recent one with high quality images ranging form the earliest GEnroku designers like Moronobu up to the Shin Hanga circle of the 20th century and artists like Koson and Hasui.
A great reference book for libraries as its just not a coffee table book of pictures only but has notes on the artists the technique the paper and much more!

Please forgive my logging in as Anon and spelling! I'm squeezing in blogging between hospital visits!
Check out my Koson and Basho blog
If you're a Ukiyo-e admirer try also googling Shin Hanga and Koson. The 20th c. Watanbe group include Hasui and Koson and a few others!
The big 3 are probably Utamaro Hiroshige and Hokusai.
