Jane Austen & Crime

Jane Austen & Crime

Susannah Fullerton

An odd but very readable little book that could be an useful and interesting starting point for further research and reading into crime in "Olde England" during the Regency period due to its notes and bibliography.

It discusses how crime is depicted in Austen's books and what real crimes Austen's attitudes in her writngs are reactions to quite thoroughly!

This is a small press edition 2004 from The Jane Austen Society of Australia so you may have to buy it directly from them or go to one of the big book shops like Abbey's or try to borrow it via inter library loan.

Enjoy!
