KOREAN ART Handbooks

May 31st 2009 02:02
The Handbook of Korean Art Series

is a set of pocket size reference books (well large pockets) with a very lovely balance of images and info.

So far I've read and can recommend

White Porcelain and Punch'ong Ware

White Porcelain is Paekja in Korean.

Earthenware and Celadon

(togi and ch'ongja green and inlay celadon of the koryo period)

Folk Painting.

There are two or three other books in the series I have not read yet.

You might have to go to a reference library for an art school or a community college with a ceramics course to see these but if you want to learn about Korean art you will find them useful.

The Handbook of Korean Art Series something your library needs to acquire?
