LAVINIA

Ursula Le Guin

Virgil's Aeneid is the most famous of Latin Epics taught and studied in schools from the time of Augustus to modern days. One character is the Princess Lavinia. Le Guin gives us the events of the Aeneid from Lavinia's viewpoint and gives her and other minor characters a voice and personality.

Love War Obsession Ghosts Prophecy Visions Gods and Great writing!

If you've ever read the Aeneid in Latin or English and whether you loved or loathed this read this novel and see Lavinia and others thru different eyes.
