LINE WAR
Most of Neal Asher' Sf books and stories are set in the Polity universe, a future in which AIs rule. It's been a great pleasure catching up with what's happened in Polity Agent and now Line War while TAFE and my other casual employers have their spring breaks, which means a holiday for me but alas an UNPAID one.
Line War is the Fifth novel focusing on Agent Cormac.
The polity is at war with the Jain nanotech virus which is being spread by Erebus a rogue AI.
Erebus however is being attacked by Fiddler Randall one of the many AIs and humans he absorbed when he was Traflagar. Eruebus has also made the mistake of disturbing Mr. Crane the Brass Man a golem android with unique abilities. Meanwhile Dragon and Mika are still exploring the origins of Jain tech and the Makers in some very dangerous places and Orlandine has decided to fight Erebus.
Justice comes at the end for everyone.
