A NOSE FOR JUSTICE
RITA MAE BROWN
Baxter is a 3 year old urbane dachshund relocated to Nevada along with his human who's lost her Wall St job after the crisis.
Now he lives on a ranch with KING a German Shepherd probably Collie mix who at first labels Baxter fuzzy sausage and his human's great aunt JEEP.
There's a lot of adjustments for this small but valiant hound to make and mysteries to help solve when the body of a 19th century Russian shows up during the renovations of the barn and some one starts blowing up water pumps and killing water company staff.
Rita Mae goes west with style bringing you her usual insights into human and animal nature, along with a look at local Nevada history, women's history, (JEEP was a civilian pilot in WW2) and water rights issue, all packaged along with mystery murder and mayhem.
