Yes an anthology of Scots / Lallans Verse. Yes that John Buchan the author of the Classic Thriller 39 Steps. This is to my knowledge an out of print work but one worth looking for to collect or borrow if you love poetry or the Scots language!
If the only Scots poetry or poets, you've ever read or heard of, are Dunbar or Henryson, or Walter Scot, who wrote in English, here are some works to look for that should be in print.
The Kingis Quair by James the First of Scotland.
The 1950 Faber edition of William Dunbar.
Oxford University Press and Penguin both have anthologies of Scots verse.
There's a whole tradition of Scots verse from the earliest ballad writers up to the twentieth century.
If you love Scots verse dont just lurk post a few more reading suggestions!
N.B. Scots Lallans - not authors of Scots nationality writing in English!
Enjoy
Next time a Zombie book !
