The Painted Man
Peter V. Brett

In Thesa and most of the known world monsters and demons rise from the ground at sunset or sometimes during storms attacking an ever dwindling poulation of human or animals if they are out of the shelter of wards painted or engraved into roofs walls and paths.

Now the survivor of one attack after a long search has found a new way to use those warding symbols and maybe finally humans can reclaim the world if they can stop fighitng over what little is is left of it.

The next book in this series is the Desert Spear.

I think it tells you something that I immediately reserved the sequel at the library after I read the first installment. Peter has a WEBSITE and can be followed on Twitter.

Enjoy!

P.s. Regular followers please forgive the long gap between blogs. I had a major design project for a contest to finish! Wish me luck with that please!
