Death Comes to
Pemberley
P.D. James
Are you avoiding this fearing its a pastiche? Well don't.
P.D. James brings her both her knowledge and love of Austen along with her skills as a veteran writer to this work. An experienced reader of 19th century literature will also notice what I'll call echos from other later works of British literature and other genres too but they add spice to the tightly structured plot twists.
There have been many sequels to Austen that are mere romance or adventure or fantasy. This is a novel to enjoy and recommend to both Austen and mystery lovers.
Enjoy!
