The Pericles Commission

Gary Corby 2010

So you like Lindsey Davis? Mysteries set in ancient times?

Try this book set in the earliest days of Athenian democracy when Nicolaos Sophroniscos' other son whose younger brother, yes, is called Socrates, has to find out who murdered Ephialtes aided by the trainee priestess Diotima.

With a cast mostly drawn from history this first book in a new series from an Australianauthor is a promising start. I await the second later this year eagerly!
