Perhaps you've read the Loeb edition or Vellacotts translation for Penguin?

Looking for a more recent translation? Try this one!

Oxford World Classics is expanding and doing a great job of giving Loeb and Penguin some serious competition in the translated classics area.

There are several companies out there that merely update into modern English tidy up and repackage older out of copyright translations.


Oxford doesnt. This is a great translation you will enjoy reading and would also be useful as an alternate to the Penguin version.
