The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey
Walter Mosley

Some year soon if not already people will be studying this in literature classes along with a lot more of Mosley's works. It's a study and portrait of dementia and a look at modern city living. What happens when an elderly African American volunteers for an experimental drug . How could two people's acts of kindness when he was still senile lead up to this? Ptolemy re-connects with his family and friends and solves several problems dealing with compassion and violence.

Another excellent challenging work from Walter Mosley!
