What you're thinking oh no not another I moved to another country and built my ideal country cottage book? Ah but it's a good one! Read as Jason puts in the hard yakka of rebuilding roofs and terraces and the anguish of losing dozens of young trees to wild weather. Australian readers can particularly relate to his account of waiting to find out if his farm and house survived a severe forest fire and descriptions of what even a little spring rain can do to arid mountain sides and pastures.
Visit the slopes of Penyagolosa. Jason prefaces each chapter about his farm with local stories and legends. There are also snippets of Valencian dialect and history.
