SEDUCED BY LOGIC

Emilie du Chatelet, Mary Somerville
and the Newtonian Revolution.

Robyn Arianrhod 2011

The thrilling tale of two women who were scholars scientists translators and writers about science whose work helped bring modern physics to France and England.

Amongst her many accomplishments du Chatelet translated Newton's works from Latin into French and Somervilles writings helped intro the work of Laplace and others to 19th English scientists and students.

This is a great biography and also a book about the history of science!

If you know anyone who asks where are all the female scientists tell them to read this!

I hope anyone who is a librarian at a girls school or any high school will consider buying this! Actually I hope all librarians will consider buying this!
