Some of you may have read an older book by Forrest on the History of Sparta. This book incorporates the latest archaeological research and discoveries and has different and more photos maps and illustrations.
It's part of Wiley-Blackwell's Ancient Cultures Survey series.

It's suitable for Senior High Students and also College and University Students seeking a general introduction that includes a good and thorough bibilography of sources.


Teachers might also benefit reading the writer's views of familiar materials.

Defintively suggest it to your library if they have not already made a purchase of it.
