Peter F. Hamilton is one of Britian's leading s.f. writers. The Void Trilogy is set in the same universe as the Commonwealth series but a thousand and more years later.
Does it live up to the critics hype? YES.
Be warned however whether you're lugging it home form the library or a bookshop its a BIG THICK volume. Isit worth lugging home? YES. If you like a well written space opera with interesting characters and a solid science basis.
Find out what happened to Oscar, Tarlo, Paula Myo, Gore and the Burnelli clan, and meet new characters, Araminta, Mr. Bovey of the multiple bodies, Inigo, The Delivery Man, and many others.
