The Tomb of Zeus

Barbara Cleverly 2007

This is the first of a new series featuring Laetitia Talbot with an archaeological setting.

This first book is set in the 1920s on the Island of Crete and while you can read this as a straight forward mystery with a Meidterranean setting if you know a bit about Minoan culture and how it was discovered ... well there's some injokes and referencec classics and arcahaeology students will enjoy including references to Euripides Hippolytus and legends about Zeus.

I can't explain much more without giving away too much plot detail but if you enjoyed her Joe Sandilands series you'll like this too and evne if you have not read her previous works try this new series!
