An FBI agent has come to England seeking an anarchist bomber. In the course of his investigations he meets Aldous Carstairs and Bennett Grey along the Hurleigh family.

Tragedy occurrs as the General Strike of 1926 draws ever closer.

Laurie R.King also writes the Mary Russell series.
