The Triumph of Caesar

Steven Saylor

Gordianus the Finder. Roma Sub Rosa. Steven Saylor. Book 11.

Rome 46 B.C. Caesar is holding a series of triumphs to celebrate his victories over the Gauls and Ptolemies. Gordianus the retired Finder only wants to sit in his garden courtyard and have a long a waited family reunion of ALL his children and grandchildren by birth and adoption. Until he's summoned by Caesar's wife to find out who murdered an old friend.

Saylors book is based on descriptions and information from Appian Cassius Dio Pliny Plutarch Suetonius and others. It's solid research and good writing and there is a genuinely intriguing complex whodunnit too!

Highly recommended ********** Enjoy!
