Women Writers of Ancient Greece and Rome
AN ANTHOLOGY

Edited by I. M. Plant University of Oklahoma Press 2004

Having trouble finding material for a Beginner's Classics course or Classics in Translation or History of Women Writers or Female Philosophers or Poets?

This anthology includes translations notes and other material ranging from Sappho to Eudocia from various Greek and Latin writers. There's also an excellent bibliography of commentators and ... this is really useful ! ...a separate section on sources!

The osurce section gives both the original texts and modern editions so when you go hunting on line or in the library for the Greek and Latin texts you will have multiple sources to seek!

This book would be an excellent addition to school and college libraries for both students and teachers at a variety of levels!
