Who are the major Female SF&F Writers?

Here's my list for IWD!

Two famous pulp / space opera writers ;

Leigh Brackett and C.L. Moore

Andre Norton and Zenna Henderson

James Tiptree Jr (Alice Sheldon)

Ursula Le Guin

More recently

C. J. Cherry writes both Science Fiction and Fantasy!

Then There's Octavia Butler and Sheri Tepper !

So if you're tired of your friends or relatives reading NOTHING but paranormal romance pass this list on to them!

If you also like paranormal romance and want something a bit more ironic in content than Stephanie Meyers and less erotic angst than L.K. Hamilton try the Original Charlaine Harris books the True Blood TV series is based on!

I have never read these writers but I will have to give them a look. Leigh Brakett's "The Long Tomorrow" looks real good.
