The story so well ...

The city of Kandor has been restored to full size and is now on the surface of a planetoid on the far side of our Solar System called New Krypton. 100 000 Kryptonians with post traumatic stress syndrome and varying degrees of control over their super powers (there's a running sight gag about Kryptonians who cant fly properly) have had their population added to by the arrival of Kal of the House of El also known as Clark Kent or Superman.

Kal is experiencing a nightmare many children of migrants can relate to: a return to a lost homeland that turns out not to the idyllic place depicted by one's parents who edited the reality.

New Krypton is an oligarchy ruled currently by his aunt Allura who has released General Zod and Ursa and others from the Phantom Zone. The ecology is unstable. The working classes have no political representation and Kal ... well he's been conscripted to training the Military Guild on using thier new powers and Zod heads the Military Guild.

Truth Justice and the American Way meets an culture in which those ideals are alien.

Other reasons to read this book?

Good crisp strong artwork. Visual references to previous visions of Krypton. General Zod now has believeable motives and personality.

Now where's Krypto?

But seriously folks the first three issues have been good and UNLIKE GRRR Legion of Three worlds they have been coming out on time!

Keep an eye on this one!
