The Zoo on the Road to Nablus

The Zoo on the Road to Nablus

A Story of Survival from the West Bank.

Amelia Thomas

This is an odd book. Tragic melancholy Humorous Ironic Sad yet Optimistic.

It's as much about the Zoo as about Dr Sami Khader and one Vet's struggle against bureacracy, Iraeli and Palestinian, lack of funding, indifference, the media, politics, and acts of vandalism, to portect his animals, and somehow keep them alive and thriving. and make his small zoo, truly educational, despite all the odds against him.

It's been marketed as a inspirational read but its more than that!

Deeply ironic and also critical of the situation on the West Bank simply by portraying events without political commentary.

Enjoy a thoughtful book.
